Digital dental x-rays are painless and an essential tool in the diagnosis and treatment of dental problems.

Digital Dental X-Rays

Dental x-rays are an essential tool in the diagnosis and treatment of dental problems. They can detect hidden decay, reveal a dental abscess or cyst within the bone, help with the diagnosis of periodontal (gum) disease, and help diagnose other potential problems.

Reduced Radiation

Our practice is committed not only to your dental health, but also to your overall health as well. We are concerned about minimizing the amount of radiation our patients receive in our office. Our x-ray technology reduces the radiation by 80-90 percent, making it the most effective and safest offered in the dental profession.

Instant Imaging

In addition, the ability to enlarge the view to the size of a computer screen and alter the contrast and density of the exposure allows us to see things missed on conventional films. It also provides the image instantaneously, allowing us to correct for any faulty images immediately.

Less Environmental Impact

Digital x-rays require no chemical developers or fixers, making them more environmentally friendly. These chemicals can have a dramatic impact on the environment, as we found out in 2004. While considering the purchase of a dental office, we ran some recommended EPA tests and found significant chemical contamination in the septic field, all from the x-ray chemicals used by the previous practice.
